Leroy Jerry Pulczinski, 85 Leroy Jerry Pulczinski, 85

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leroy Jerry Pulczinski on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at the age of 85 at LifeCare Roseau Manor.

Leroy lived a rich and fulfilling life. Born on a farm outside Greenbush, he later moved into town and graduated from Greenbush High School, where he played basketball and baseball. Following his graduation, Leroy served honorably in the army for three years before settling in St. Paul to work for Armour & Co. Wanting to be close to family and friends, he returned to Greenbush to manage his father's tavern. He then worked at the Creamery for a number of years, and ultimately spent the remainder of his career at the Farmer's Co-op. He also worked part-time bartending and painting exteriors. After retirement, he continued to work part-time for the City of Greenbush and farming.

In 1964, Leroy met the love of his life, Dena, in Greenbush. On their first date, he bought his future wife an ice cream cone, a memory that stayed with her throughout her life. Together, they built a wonderful life and lasting memories.

He will always be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, building miniature windmills in his workshop, and driving his golf cart around Greenbush to talk and laugh with friends. One of his greatest adventures was being invited by his son, Dale, to stay on an Ohio Class Military Ballistic Submarine (USS Georgia) for 3 days and 2 nights when it was docked near Seattle. It was an experience of a lifetime that he thoroughly enjoyed.

Leroy is survived by his two daughters (Sharon and Vicki), his two sons (Scott and Dale), and his four grandchildren (Mia, Kiera, Leonardo, and Nicholas) and his brother Adrian (Marlene) Pulczinski of Greenbush. He will be forever loved and remembered by his family, relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dena.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Father George Noel officiating. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Father George and all the volunteers who assisted during the service and luncheon.

Messages of condolence and warm wishes are deeply appreciated. In lieu of gifts, contributions may be directed to Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenbush. The family expresses gratitude to the Church and everyone for their support during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Collins Funeral Chapel in Greenbush.
