Delphine Ardell Jensen, 92

Delphine Ardell (née Anderson) Jensen, age 92 of Prairie du Chien, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Prairie Maison Nursing Home in Prairie Du Chien following an extended battle with cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. The family is grateful for the loving care Del received, both at Kelly House in Evansville and Prairie Maison in Prairie Du Chien. Del was born in Greenbush, MN in 1931 to parents John and Margaret Anderson and one brother, Marvin. She lived in Fargo, ND and Los Angeles, CA before moving to Minneapolis in the early 1950s. She worked at Honeywell for 10 years before meeting her husband, Eivind Jensen. They were married in Minneapolis on August 23, 1958. Del and Eivind welcomed children David and Susan before moving the family to Middleton, Wisconsin in 1970, where they welcomed their daughter Nancy. In Middleton Del, Eivind and son David founded the Professional Life Associates insurance agency, where Del worked as Business Manager. They moved the business to Evansville, WI in 1999 and lived there for a decade until Del moved to Prairie Du Chien, WI to be closer to her daughter Nancy. Del was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She and Eivind enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family. Friendships encompassed all aspects of her life, and each was special to her. She doted on her grandchildren and her beloved pets, including dogs Classy and Abby. Her daughters are left with a lifetime of precious memories thanks to Del’s loving care. Her memory lives on with daughters Nancy (Bob) Key and Susan (Dan) Golas and daughter-in-law Elaine Jensen. She was also blessed with eight grandchildren, Ryan, Maggie, Matthew, Katie, Payton, Piper, Pierce and Parker, as well as two great grandsons, Harry and Wesley. Del was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marvin, as well as her husband Eivind and son David.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Private inurnment will be at a later date in the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Greenbush, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or the Rivers & Bluffs Animal Shelter in Prairie Du Chien. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
