Delores Ann Olson, 73

Delores Ann Olson, 73, Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN, surrounded by her loving family.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Stephanie White officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

On December 20, 1949, Delores Ann Brazier was born to Walter and Dorothy (Dostal) Brazier. She was baptized and confirmed at Blessed Sacrament Church, Greenbush, MN. On February 12, 1971, Delores was united in marriage to John W. Olson—three sons were born: Patrick, John Jr. and James. She worked at the Medicine Shoppe, Artic Cat Sewing Department, and DigiKey Inc till her health issues caused her to retire.

Delores enjoyed sewing, and later in life, quilting became her passion. She also loved to make quilts and repair others’ quilts to extend the life of their quilt. She was a member of the TRF Quilter Guild and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. The highlight of quilting came when a quilt she made won a Grand Champion Ribbon at the Pennington County Fair.

Delores is survived by her husband, John, sons, John Jr. (Daria, special friend) and James (Athena), siblings, David (Gail, special friend), Glen (Roxanne) Brazier, Vivian (LeRoy) Omdahl, Tom (Roxanne) Brazier, and Dennis (Terri) Brazier, brother-in-law, Charles (Pam) Olson, and William (Julie) Olson, sisters-in-law, Clarice (Jim, special friend) and Helen (Rory) Anderson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Patrick, father-in-law and mother-in-law Clarence and Clara Olson, sisters-in-law Marlene Hjeldness and Linda Olson, and brother-in-law Robert L. Olson.
