COURTHOUSE ROOFING REPLACEMENT

ROSEAU, MINNESOTA

Notice is hereby given that the Roseau County Board of Commissioners will receive bids at the office of the Roseau County Auditor, 606 5th Ave SW, Room 160, Roseau, MN 56751, until 11:00 A.M. Local Time, on THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 2022 for roofing replacement at the Roseau County Courthouse. At that time, said Bids will be carried to the Roseau County Board Room, opened, read aloud and tabled for review and subsequent action.
All bids must be prepared on the form provided by the Architect and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders (Section 002100). Bids shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check payable to the order of Roseau County Treasurer for not less than 5% of the bid amount. Bids are to be in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked on the outside identifying the owner, bidder, and project name.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

Work of the Project includes removal of existing gravel stops, wall caps, reuse ballast, new single-ply EPDM over existing and additional insulation, and supply and installation of all new specified materials and accessories needed for entire project completion, including 20-yr total system warranty. Base bid includes approximate 25,000 SF roof area and ADD Alternate Bid #1 of approximately 3,900 SF roof area as indicated in bidding documents.

This is a single-prime contract, lump sum project. The Work shall conform to the Drawings, Details and Specifications prepared by MJ Architectural Studios, Inc., 1425 Paul Bunyan Drive NW, Suite 4, Bemidji, MN 56601, (218) 751-0109, Email: Johnston.mike@mj-arch.com. Bidders may obtain sets of Bidding Documents by contacting the Architect. Printed sets of plans are available for a NON-refundable deposit of $5 for each drawing sheet, $80.00 for each plan set, or electronic PDF’s at no charge. Make checks payable to MJ Architectural Studios, Inc.

Within the documents obtained from the Architect, refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 002113. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days from the scheduled closing time for receiving bids without the consent of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or part of bids and to waive informalities therein, and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if in their discretion the interests of the Owner will be best served thereby. The owner may award based on what they determine is the “best value” for the County.

Prime Bidders are required to review existing site conditions and Work scope. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on THURSDAY AUGUST 11, 2022 for contractor’s information and questions. The meeting will commence at 11:00 A.M. at the Roseau County Board Room, 606 5th Ave SW, Roseau, MN 56751 and tour of facilities thereafter.
