Agenda for the Greenbush-Middle River School Board Regular Meeting to be held in the

3. Approve Agenda
Recommendation to add items to the agenda from Board Members or School
Administrators.
Motion by Kurt Stenberg, second by Brandon Ignaszewski, to approve the agenda as
submitted/amended.
4. Laurie Stromsodt will be here to request funds for the Greenbush Summer
Recreation Program and Middle River Summer Recreation Program.
Laurie is here requesting to use Community Ed dollars for both summer
recreation programs (including requesting on behalf of Lynsey Hanson, as she
was unable to attend the meeting.)
5. Citizen Comments
All speakers are asked to complete the Listening Session Sign-in Form including as
much detail as possible and including a printed / written copy of your presentation if one
is available. This is an opportunity for the Board to listen, the Board will not engage in
dialogue. As a general rule, the Board will not comment on or respond to any comments
made by speakers. Please do not include names of Greenbush Middle River School
students, employees or representatives, their title, or location in your remarks for your
own legal protection and the legal rights of students and staff.
Each speaker will have five (5) minutes to speak: speakers may not roll their time to
another speaker. Speakers will be timed and are asked to complete their comments in
this time frame. Board members may ask questions if needed. Please begin your
presentation by stating your name and topic only.
In the spirit of fairness to all participants, we request that you respect the format above.

suggestions.

Suggested Board Action:
Motion by Ross Waage second by Allison Harder, to approve the minutes of the March
16, 2026 Regular board meeting as presented/amended.

FCCLA National Conference 7-4-26 to 7-10-26
Motion by Brandon Ignaszewski, second by Allison Harder, to approve the
National FCCLA trip to Washington DC on July 4, 2026 to July 10, 2026.
2. Accept Gifts & Donations
Gifts/donations for the month of March
Motion by Brandon Ignaszewski, seconded by Ross Waage to accept with gratitude
the following gifts and donations:
● $250.00 from Ben Anderson to Preschool
● $25.00 from 1 Better Liquor to Class of 2033 - 5th Grade
● $25.00 from 1 Better Liquor to Wrestling
3. Approve the hiring of Ryan Norberg as JH baseball coach for the 2025-2026
school year.
Motion by Brandon Ignaszewski, second by Danielle Berg to approve the hiring of
Ryan Norberg as JH baseball coach for the 2025-2026 school year.
4. Approve the resignations of Martyn Novacek and Ben Evans as JH Football
coaches and open the positions.
Motion by Kurt Stenberg, second by Brandon Ignaszewski to approve the
resignations of Martyn Novacek and Ben Evans as JH Football coaches and open
the positions.
5. Approve the elementary and secondary handbooks for the 2026-2027 school
year.
Motion by Brandon Ignaszewski, second by Kurt Stenberg to approve the
elementary and secondary handbooks for the 2026-2027 school year.
6. Approve request from the cities of Greenbush and Middle River to support
summer recreation activities. A request has been received from the City of
Middle River Summer Recreation Program and the City of Greenbush
Summer Recreation Program to continue support of summer youth ball in
Greenbush and Middle River. The district has provided this support through
its community education funds in the amount of $2000 to each community to
offset expenses for Summer Recreation youth ball.
Motion by Brandon Ignaszewski, second by Kurt Stenberg to approve the request
that $2000 be given to the cities of Greenbush and Middle River to support their
respective summer recreation activities. Oppose: Danielle Berg (wanted amount
raised)

● Joint Powers Meeting May 18, 2026 in Greenbush at 5:00 p.m.
