Adrian "AJ" Pulczinski, age 84
Adrian "AJ" Pulczinski, age 84 of Greenbush, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT.
Adrian Joseph “AJ” Pulczinski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on March 16th 2026. He was the son of Paul and Agnes Pulczinski.
AJ graduated from Greenbush High School in 1959 and went on to attend the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. In 1964, he was called to serve his country in the Vietnam War, where he served for two years.
Upon returning home, AJ worked for Stolp’s Vending before marrying Marlene Janousek, on June 8, 1968, at St. Aloysius Church in Leo, Minnesota. Together, they built a life rooted in family and community, raising three children: Gregory, Michael, and Kimberly.
AJ was a true pillar of the Greenbush community. Over the years, he owned and operated several local businesses, including AJ’s Café, AJ’s Carpet and Paint Store, The Greenbush Tribune, and AJ’s Drive-In. He later retired as a rural mail carrier, continuing his connection to the community he loved.
He was deeply involved in civic life, founding the local Jaycees chapter and was a member of the Legion Club and VFW. He also served as Mayor of Greenbush. He was a devoted Catholic and a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, Reader, and in many other roles.
AJ found joy in many of life’s pleasures - fishing, golfing, gardening, woodworking, playing cards and pool. He was also a devoted Minnesota sports fan, proudly cheering for the Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves. Above all, he loved his family deeply and took immense pride in each of them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Agnes Pulczinski; his brothers, George and Leroy Pulczinski; his sister-in-law, Dena Pulczinski; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Marlene; his children, Gregory (Kari), Michael (Angie), and Kimberly; his grandchildren, Chase (Alyssa), Austin (Malissia), Cody, Brie, Alaina Pulczinski, and Madison Lawton; step-grandchildren, Wren Dooley and Noah Rosenow; and his great-grandchildren, Greyson, Adrian, and Myles Pulczinski, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his love for family, his role as the beloved “Golf Course Grandpa,” and the lasting impact he left on all who knew him.
