LaMonte Gross. 91

LaMonte Gross of Greenbush and formerly of Side Lake, MN passed away at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau at the age of 91.

LaMonte Emerson Gross was born on January 13, 1931 in Minot, ND to Waldo and Marie (Sherman) Gross. He graduated from Hibbing High School and DNR Management School. July 7, 1951 he married Dorothy Mayer in Hibbing. LaMonte then joined the Army and served from September of 1951 to October of 1952. After the service he worked as an electrician and a DNR State Park manager until his retirement in 1993. Lamonte loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing.

LaMonte is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gross; children, Mike and Kerry Gross; grandchildren, Carmen Holmes, Jessica Gross, Meggan (Michael) Brandon, and Erik Gross; 5 great grandsons; and 2 great-great grandsons

LaMonte was preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Marie; daughter-in-law, Jill Gross; and grandson, Josh Gross.
