Delores Marie Schaller, of Greenbush MN passed away peacefully on Thursday June 26th, 2025 at the age of 86, surrounded by her loved ones and the incredible staff of the LifeCare Greenbush Manor.

Delores, daughter of Susan and August Mrozek, was born on December 2nd, 1938 in Greenbush Hospital. She grew up on the family farm with her parents and five younger siblings, where she picked berries, milked cows, and worked the fields. She attended school and began working at the age of 15 at the Greenbush Hospital. After graduating, she continued work at the hospital until she married Lambert Mlodzik on October 7, 1957 and moved to St. Paul, MN. Lambert passed away on May 18, 1959. Their son, Larry, was born December 18th, 1959 and was Delores' greatest gift. She worked at Children's Hospital in St. Paul for over 20 years as a Dietary Supervisor. Delores married Andrew Duray in 1960 and divorced in 1978. She continued her work as a Dietary Supervisor at Shalom Home in St. Paul for over 20 years. She married Roy Sharp on August 9th, 1986. Roy passed away March 2nd, 2003. Delores retired from her long hospital career and took care of her mother, Susan, until she passed away in 2006.
Miraculously, Delores reunited with her childhood sweetheart, Raymond Schaller after 50 years apart and they were married on July 14, 2006. They spent almost 7 happy years together on his family farm in Greenbush. Ray passed away on May 18th, 2013. Delores remained in their home until she moved into LifeCare Greenbush Manor, where she appreciated the kindness and care of their staff for the last 3 years. She attended church, bingo, kickball, and loved helping and visiting with the other residents.

Delores was an amazing woman who endured many challenges and joys throughout her 86 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, godmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. While she was incredibly hardworking, she also loved to laugh and have a good time. She absolutely enjoyed teasing and joking with family and friends. She loved outdoor activities like planting flowers, fishing, hunting and camping. She always talked about how much fun she had teaching her nieces and nephews how to fish. When it came to fishing, her favorite line was "just one more!". Delores was ridiculously lucky, whether she was playing cards, games, bingo, or casino slot machines. She loved planning parties and dancing at them. She taught many of her cousins how to dance. She played the accordion and truly enjoyed listening to her brothers, Jerome and Hilery, play. She was an excellent cook and baker, and was well known for all things caramel (caramel roll, caramel candy, and caramel apples). Delores loved collecting salt and pepper shakers and cookie jars. She liked to knit and embroider, work on puzzles, feed and watch the birds, and spend time with her family and friends.

Delores was very prayerful, loving, generous, supportive, and a great listener. She created so many joyful memories with all of her family and friends that will be cherished and remembered often. Her lively personality, love for fun, and expert advice will be missed more than words can describe.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brother Jerome Mrozek, her sister-in-law Barbara Mrozek, and her brothers-in-law Jerry Ziebarth & John Chambers.

She is survived by her son Larry Mlodzik (Sunday), grandchildren Samantha, Jordan (Lola, Christopher), and Jason (Rachel: Sadie, Tony, Scott), brother Hilery Mrozek (Lynett), sisters Joyce Ziebarth, Marlene (John) Shudy, and Shirley Chambers; sister-in-law Florence (Gerald) Dvergsten; cousin Elinor Koshenina; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
