Agenda for the Greenbush-Middle River School Board Regular Meeting to be held in the Greenbush Middle River School Library, 401 Park Avenue West, Greenbush, MN 56726 on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 6:30 PM.

1. Call to Order

2. Roll Call Members Present/: Kurt Stenberg, Joe Melby, Allison Harder, SueAnn Wahl, Brandon Kuznia, Peter Kern.

Members Absent: Bradon Ignaszewski

3. Approve Agenda

Recommendation to add items to the agenda from Board Members or School Administrators.

Suggested Board Action:

Motion by SueAnn Wahl, second by Peter Kern, to approve the agenda as submitted/amended.

4. Citizen Comments

All speakers are asked to complete the Listening Session Sign-in Form including as much detail as possible and including a printed / written copy of your presentation if one is available. This is an opportunity for the Board to listen, the Board will not engage in dialogue. As a general rule, the Board will not comment on or respond to any comments made by speakers. Please do not include names of Greenbush Middle River School students, employees or representatives, their title, or location in your remarks for your own legal protection and the legal rights of students and staff.

Each speaker will have five (5) minutes to speak: speakers may not roll their time to another speaker. Speakers will be timed and are asked to complete their comments in this time frame. Board members may ask questions if needed.

Motion by Allison Harder second by Kurt Stenberg, to approve the minutes of the August 20, 2024 Special board meeting as presented/amended.

Suggested board action: Motion by Kurt Stenberg, seconded by SueAnn Wahl to accept with gratitude the following gifts and donations.

3. Approve the hiring of Mel Bergeron as a Paraprofessional.

Motion by Peter Kern, second by Allison Harder to approve the hiring of Mel Bergeron as a Paraprofessional for the 2024-2025 School year.

5. Approve the motion to certify the preliminary 2024 payable 2025 school tax levy for the “Maximum” amount.

Motion by Joe Melby, second by Brandon Kunzia to approve the motion to certify the preliminary 2024 payable 2025 school tax levy for the “Maximum” amount.

6. Approve the policies regarding cell phone use, backpacks, and hats and hoods in school.

Motion by Kurt Stenberg, second by SueAnn Wahl to approve the motions to accept the policies regarding cell phone use, backpacks, and hats and hoods in school.
