Hunter Pinke gives some instruction to GMR kindergartener Olivia Lambert before racing her in the GMR School gym during his visit on May 18. Pinke, a native of Wishek, N.D., talked about his journey from a Division I University of North Dakota football player to a chest-down paraplegic at the age of 22 following a skiing accident in Colorado on December 27, 2019. Pinke spoke to the public and GMR seventh to twelfth grade students first and then spoke to the kindergarten through sixth grade students, playing a couple games with the latter group. His talk with the younger group was titled, “Dream, Set, Go.” (photo by Ryan Bergeron)
