Nine Gator golfers advance to state-- Girls team captures Section 8A title

The Gator girls and boys golf teams hold up their section team plaques following action from the Section 8A Girls and Boys Golf Tournament from the Bemidji Town and Country Club on May 29. The Gator Girls Golf team captured a section team title, advancing all six of its golfers to state. The Gator Boys Golf team earned section runner-up team honors, but advanced three golfers to state, in Ty Grinsteiner, Masen Swenson, and Danyn Janousek. The Gator Golf program will have a send-off for these state-bound golfers on Sunday, June 9 at 6 pm from Oakview Golf Course in Greenbush. Come on out for burgers and floats and help send the Gator golfers off to the state meet. For complete Gator golf section tournament coverage, look on page eight of this week’s issue.
