Keeping things moving forward

As the new Superintendent for both the Greenbush-Middle River and Tri-County school districts, Barb Muckenhirn is familiar with the type of area she has moved into—rural, small, tight-knit communities close to Canada. She graduated high school in Westhope, a small North Dakota town located about an hour north of Minot and about 10 minutes south of the Canadian border. At the beginning of July, she officially began her new role at both districts. In this role, she just looks to keep things moving forward. (photo by Ryan Bergeron)
