Gator girls battle for Section 8A title

The Gator Girls Basketball team celebrates with its fans while hoisting its Section 8A Championship trophy following its 53-50 victory over the Fosston Greyhounds at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls on March 10. Many of the girls on this team also clinched a Section 8A Volleyball Championship last fall. With the win, the Section 8A Champion Gators advance to the Class A State Girls Basketball Tournament and will open action versus the Section 1A Champion Hayfield Vikings at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 16 from Maturi Pavilion on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.
